Coatis are plentiful along the coast. The Brignones adopted one and named
him Pancho. They would walk him at sunset on Ala de Ángel (“Angel’s Wing”),
Playa Careyes former name.
Pages 134–135: The meteorite on Playa Careyes lies halfway between Sol
de Oriente and Sol de Occidente. This cherished rock weighing about a ton
and a half fell just after the houses were finished. A temple was built
over it to shelter it, el Templo Cósmico, which is where the ceremony of the
Knights and Ladies of the Sun is held.
