Playa Rosa—also known as Corazón que Bombea (“Pumping Heart”)—
was built in 1973 by Marco Aldaco. Today, it is a restaurant patronized
by everyone living in Careyes. Run by an Italian named Augusto, it specializes
in Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine. The fruits of the land and the sea are
brought here each morning.
